Endowments

An endowment is a financial resource that provides perpetual income for a specified use. Endowments are invested to protect the “purchasing power” of your gift over time while providing steadily growing numbers of spendable income. The Catholic Community Foundation endowments are overseen by our Finance Committee, a subcommittee of the CCF Board of Directors, and other local financial consultants.

The principal of the endowed gift is left untouched, with approximately 5% interest paid out annually to Regina.

Regina Teacher Endowment

Helps bridge the gap between the salaries of Regina teachers and their counterparts in the public school system.

Regina Tuition Assistance Endowment

Assists students/families who wish to attend Regina who otherwise could not because of financial constraints.

Regina General Endowment

Is critical for the long-term financial health of the Regina education system, which will assist with general operational costs, as well as maintenance costs for the new addition.

Named Endowments

Named endowments for the purpose of scholarships, teacher salaries, tuition assistance, and/or general operating needs require a minimum gift of $10,000 to establish. In the event that a donor/donor family does not have the full requisite $10,000, then endowments may be created with a $5,000 “down payment” with the remaining $5,000 to be paid over a five-year period. Annual payouts from the endowment to the school will not be made until the named fund is fully endowed at the $10,000 level.

Scholarships

Named scholarships offer individuals, families, alumni/alumni classes, businesses, and other interested parties the opportunity to recognize a person’s life, accomplishments, and beliefs. Donors may permanently endow a named scholarship for use by current Regina students or Regina graduating seniors.

Donor Designated Endowments

If you are interested in creating a named endowment for special projects or programs at Regina or would like to initiate a named fund to benefit teacher salaries, tuition assistance, general operating needs or other determined areas of need, please contact the Foundation office.

If you are interested in setting up a named endowment for Regina, please contact April Rouner at (319) 354.5866 or ccf@mchsi.com.
