Campus

  • 22 Acre Campus
  • Only local school district to offer a PreK-12 grade program on one central campus
  • Baseball, soccer, softball, football and band practice/playing field and hard surface track
  • Playground area for PreK-6 grade students
  • Nature trail built by Regina Boy Scouts
  • 2005 completion of capital project which added four new elementary classrooms, new preschool room, and two-story addition housing a new kitchen, cafeteria, seven classrooms, four restrooms, and a science lecture and lab center.

Primary Goals of the Regina Inter-Parish Catholic Education Center

  • To build a Christian school community where students can develop both spiritually and academically.
  • To evangelize and assist the students in accepting and living the tenets and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
  • To provide a superior academic program that is concerned with all phases of growth of the individual students.
  • To educate our students to an awareness of the global, social, and economic problems of our time.
  • To educate our students to become Christian leaders who act in solving the problems of our community and world.

Board of Education

The Board is composed of the four pastors of the Iowa City parishes and 12 lay members.

Faculty

  • 87 laywomen and laymen (4 administrators, 18 staff members, and 65 teachers) and 1 sister, who oversees the religious education program.
  • Student/teacher ratio is 13:1 in the jr./sr. high school and 15:1 in the elementary

*Annually, the four Iowa City parishes generously contribute parish funds towards the provision of Catholic education at Regina.  In return, the parishes ask Regina families to make a stewardship pledge of time, talent and treasure to their parish and school communities.  Those parents/families who demonstrate their stewardship commitment are granted stewardship rate tuition for their child(ren).

*Sr. Mary Fran Michalec coordinates the tri-parish religious education program for public school students. Held weekly at Regina, the program serves students from St. Mary’s, St. Patrick’s, and St. Wenceslaus parishes. St. Thomas More parish conducts its own religious education program at two sites in Iowa City and North Liberty.
