ANNUAL APPEAL 2008-2009

What is the Annual Appeal?

  • Gifts to the Annual Appeal are vital to the Regina Catholic Education Center by helping to keep tuition affordable, salaries more equitable with public-school counterparts, and to provide learning opportunities whose costs exceed Regina’s budget.
  • The Annual Appeal is the Foundation’s yearly effort to generate revenues to close the gap between the actual cost of a student’s education and the funds secured through tuition, parish assessment and other income streams.
  • The 2008-2009 Annual Appeal goal is $350,000

Is there a challenge match in 2008-2009?

The past two years, the Foundation was blessed with Appeal matches from an anonymous donor. There will not be a single-donor matching gift for the 2008-2009 Annual Appeal. Instead, in this 50th anniversary year, the goal is to attain $175,000 in alumni and other major leadership gifts, which will then be issued as a challenge match to the Regina community and community-at-large.

What Regina areas will benefit from the 2008-2009 Annual Appeal?
$100,000 K-12 Technology*
$ 75,000 Special Projects/Programs
$175,000 Operational Budget**

* K-12th technology needs include: 17 teacher computer workstations; 10 computers in computer labs; 12 laptops; 16 LCD projectors; 12 whiteboards, 5 document cameras and a software license.

** Includes teacher salary enhancement, tuition assistance, and general mission support of Regina and its Foundation.

Join the Club

While all gifts, no matter the size, are valued and received with the utmost appreciation, the Foundation has a distinctive recognition club for all donors who gift $1,000 or more to the Annual Appeal during the most current fiscal year (July 1-June 30). We owe a special indebtedness to the Cornerstone Club members for their individual and collective generosity and leadership. Gifts at this level support the Foundation’s mission and help Regina plan for its future.

Regina's Golden Jubilee

September 3, 2008 marked the 50th anniversary of the date Regina first opened its doors.  We recognize this monumental anniversary as a rare type of occasion when all members of the community, past and present, can participate.  Visit the Regina 50th website for a list of events:  www.regina50th.com

Our Mission

The mission of the Catholic Community Foundation is to enhance the financial strength of the Regina Inter-Parish Catholic Education Center.

Foundation Role

The Catholic Community Foundation is the preferred and centralized vehicle for private gifts to Regina.

These gifts will be realized through annual giving programs, major and planned gifts, capital and other special-purpose campaigns. All Foundation efforts are to aid Regina in fulfilling its mission to provide a value-centered Catholic education, rich in both academic excellence and witness to the message of the Gospel.

We have all worshiped in churches we did not establish, attended schools we did not build, and studied from books we did not buy.  Now it is our turn to provide for both our current needs and the needs of future generations.
