Recent Class Reunions

Regina Class of 1974

The Class of 1974 celebrated their 35-year reunion June 26-27, 2009.  The class met at Blackstone on Friday night and held a BBQ on Saturday at the home of Terry and Jo Dickens.  The class also held a raffle for a vintage 8 track tape player/speakers and an orange, pink and yellow psychedelic tape case full of 8 track tapes – Grass Roots, Guess Who, Sly and the Family Stone just to name a few!   They donated the proceeds ($230) to the Crisis Center Thanksgiving in July fundraising project.  The lucky winner was Theresa Kehoe.

 

Regina Class of 1979

The Class of 1979's 30th reunion was held July 3-4, 2009.  The class gathered informally on Friday at Blackstone's Restaurant.  On Saturday, the class met at Hotel Vetro for cocktails and dinner.  Following dinner, they met on the hotel terrace where Kim VanEck Lehrman and Tami Campion led them in the Regina fight song before watching the fireworks display.

 

Regina Class of 1984

The Class of 1984's 25th reunion was held June 19-20, 2009.  The class gathered informally on Friday at the Vine in Coralville.  On Saturday, class members met at the Elks Lodge for cocktails and dinner.  On Sunday, two classmates, Jhon Gilroy and Dan Timlin, performed at The Mill in Iowa City.

 

Regina Class of 1989

About 30 members of the Class of 1989 (some pictured here) met over the 2009 Memorial Day weekend to celebrate their 20-year reunion.  Class members met at BlackStone restaurant in Iowa City.  Later, Regina teacher, Doug Vollstedt, transported everyone in a Regina bus to the Kinnick Stadium Press Box, where they had appetizers, dinner, drinks and dessert.  They played a trivia game about their class and listened to 80's music.

 

Golden Jubilee All-School Alumni Banquet

180+ alumni and guests enjoyed the All-School Alumni Banquet on August 30, 2008.  The Class of 1965 (some pictured on left) had the most members in attendance, while the Class of 1984 (middle picture) had the alum who traveled the greatest distance (from Alaska) to attend.  If count was correct, the family with the most members by surname was the Sueppel family (far right).

     

 

At the Creation II

The Classes of 1959, 1960, 1961 and 1962 got together on August 31, 2008 at the Pleasant Valley Golf Course Club House.  Pictured below are members of the Class of 1962 (left) and Guido and Adelaide Bulgarelli.  About 130 alumni and guests attended the reunion.

 

 

Regina Class of 1973

Members of the Class of 1973 got together over Labor Day weekend 2008 to celebrate their 35th class reunion.  They met at the Fall Fun Festival beer tent Friday night, tailgated before the UI football game on Saturday and met for brunch Sunday morning at the Quality Inn.
